Hi, I'm Don Jones.

I was first licensed as a Texas real estate broker in 2007 and since then I have been licensed in 10 other states. I began my law practice in Louisiana in 1988 and in Texas in 1992.

I’ve worked for small and large law firms, title companies and an NYSE / publicly-traded real estate investment trust. My law practice consists primarily of real estate transactions focusing on the purchase, sale, lease, sale – leaseback, finance and development of restaurants, retail, and multifamily properties. And, I serve as General Counsel to over 20 real estate brokerage offices In Texas, Oklahoma and Kansas.

“The savings in money I paid annually in desk fees was more than enough to cover the expense of setting up our new brokerage. What an incredible opportunity! And the best part of the whole organization is that Don is a sincere and genuine person who is very easy to work with.”

~ David O.

“I looked everywhere and couldn’t find anyone to sponsor me on my terms for a reasonable amount of money until I found Don Jones. With Don’s sponsorship, I own my own company, have the latitude that I need for my business and it all comes at an affordable price. What else could an agent ask for?”

~ Ferguson Realtors

“I recently decided to pursue my real estate career full time. But I had a dilemma: Do I invest marketing dollars into a brokerage I might leave in a few months? Don Jones was the answer. With just one phone call, I am now able to invest my marketing dollars towards branding my own company and name.”

Frequently Asked Questions

What about my license?
All that you need is a Texas Salespersons license. An individual broker’s license is not required.
It takes about 15-20 days to receive a TREC LLC Brokers license.
Yes, TREC rules allow an Agent to use his or her name in the name of the Brokerage. In other words, John Doe can form and own a licensed real estate brokerage named “John Doe Real Estate Brokerage, LLC” or “John Doe Realty, LLC,” provided that an alternate assumed name is used in conjunction.
Not until you are ready. Most of our clients wait until their new company broker’s license is returned from TREC and ready to go before “moving” their individual salesperson license to the new company.
Since we recognize that some of our Clients have not had experience in running their own businesses, we have developed a series of helpful documents, tips and forms to help make your transition smoother. Our tips and forms include a TREC required Policy and Procedures manual for your office, a quick start guide, templates for business plans, office manuals….everything that you need to get you started.
Our clients range in experience from 2 years to 25 years. It boils down to the personality of the individual and their desire to be their own boss.
Yes, we will sponsor Commercial Real Estate Brokerages as well. Our pricing structure may vary depending upon the nature of the Agent’s work.
No, the agent provides the office (or home office) as well as licenses, memberships, dues, phones, supplies, advertising, etc.
We can assist you in obtaining your own Errors and Omissions Insurance policy. Most of our clients’ policies cost between $800 and $900 per year.
We can license your Brokerage anywhere in Texas. Most of our clients began operation of their brokerages from their home offices.
We are members of many Associations of Realtors in Texas including MetroTex (Dallas – Fort Worth), HAR (Houston), SABOR (San Antonio), ABOR (Austin), El Paso, and Tyler. We will join new Boards when our Agents request us to do so* (conditions apply).
If you need us to assist with contracts or other real estate or legal issues, we are here to help on an as needed basis. Most of our assistance is free of charge.
If Texas Cram Slam Exam Prep is not delivered on or before January 31, 2025, your purchase will be refunded in full.

Let us give you the freedom to do things on your own terms.
